It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

So, Duder woke up this morning, looked out the front window, and declared, "It's snowing! Now it can be Christmas." Then proceeded to plug in the Christmas tree and garland. I thought it was so cute.

Despite the snow this morning that darn bus was still right on time @ 8:10. Stupid bus. I thought for sure the snow would buy us 5 minutes but I was sadly mistaken and Layton Dad had to take Princess to school. Of course, she was totally heart broken to be "forced" to take a ride in Daddy's truck. What is so fascinating about riding with Dad?

So, it really is starting to feel like Christmas at the Layton house. I put up one tree Thanksgiving weekend, the kids and I put up the second one last week. The invitations for the Christmas party are almost ready to be delivered, and all I have to do is print address labels for the Christmas cards. Now, if only I could drag myself out to do the Christmas shopping life would be blissfully Christmasy. Oh and then there is the matter of cleaning the house for the Christmas party. Ok so maybe I am not quite as organized as I would like but, I still love Christmas, and it really does feel like Christmas and isn't that the post title?

I haven't even started my Christmas cards. Oh, and the outside lights may not get done at all this year. Ugh.

So last week when I was there I was awake ridiculously early one of those days and Jayce got up pretty early too. I was crocheting in the living room upstairs and he wanted me to play with the fisher price nativity, so I got down on the floor and instead of playing with the nativity he decided he wanted to plug in the tree. We both laid there on the floor snuggly in the same blanket and sharin a pillow talkin about the lights and the snowmen on the tree. He prodeeded to play "elasti-girl" with my face (as usual) but that's what little boys do :) That will probably be one of my fondest favorite memories of that little guy! :) Melts an Aunts heart all over the place.

It seems Christmas has come so fast this year! I am trying to scramble and get things done to!

Your blog is so cute! And I'm glad that I "ran" into it--it's sad that we live so close, yet never see each other. Good luck with getting ready for Christmas--it seems there more to do each year!!--Heather Curnutt (curnuttcrew.blogspot.com)

Erin, can I please, please, please have some of your energy? I don't do parties, because I don't want to have to clean my house. :) I'm a winner like that.
