Happy Halloween!

I think Ironman fits in nicely with the rest of the Wizard of Oz characters don't you?

Nat and I took the kids out early to do their trick-or-treating, mostly to avoid being too cold. Their enthusiasm waned quite early making it very difficult to continue. Little Miss was the most excited and I don't think she even knew what was happening. She just wanted to do what the "big" kids were doing. We went out a little too early I think since about half of the houses we went to people weren't home from work yet. The plan for next year, start a little later and let the daddy's take them. :)

Because we started early were finished early. It was such a beautiful night that the kids were able to play outside a little bit. They were being so silly trying to "scare" the other trick-or-treaters.

My kids never fail to make me laugh, It had a rough start but we had a great evening and I love Halloween with kids. SO MUCH FUN!!!

Cookies & Cocoa

As a child I remember going trick-or-treating and then going to a family friends' house for cookies and milk. Since this year our ward didn't have a trunk or treat I wanted to reinstate this tradition. So I made some cookies and hot cocoa (it is a little colder here than in Las Vegas) and invited over some friends. It was a lot of fun and I will definitely do it again next year.

We're off to see the Wizard!

Last night was the ward Halloween party. Lots of fun games and such for the kiddos, a good excuse for us to dress up with our kids and go someplace warm. Some time ago Nat and I came up with the brilliant idea of having our families dress up together. After some thought we settled on "The Wizard of Oz". We had to get a little creative so that we would all have a costumes but we did it.

What do you think? Do we look like the cast? I'm thinking we could take our show on the road.

Halloween!

Here are my little cuties on Halloween!

My little candy corn! Isn't she sweet?

Little Miss Ila as Tinkerbell!

Our little monster as a skeleton!

These little ones were beat after collecting all the goods. Both of them had buckets full to the brim! (While driving around to see a few friends Duder decided to start dismantling his costume. That is why he is missing a knee cap and a leg bone on his right leg!)
