I swear to you a clean floor is a magnet for spills.
Last night I mopped my kitchen floor for the third time in two days and then this morning the kids spilled milk again! I had enough with mopping so I cleaned it up the best I could and called it good enough. For some reason mopping is one of my least favorite chores. Perhaps if I didn't let my floor get so dirty before I mopped it it wouldn't be so hard to clean and I wouldn't dread it so much. Like that is ever going to happen.

mmmm or it could be that within 5 sec someone has to walk on it with dirty shoes while it's still wet.... or could it be that the kidlets want to follow the mop around while you mop.... providing the same outcome? that is the way it is at my houw....and i REALLY need to mop right now. Missy My spilled pop this afternoon and didn't let me know till it was too late to avoid the stickies....UGH
ooo ooo I have an idea!!! maybe you could come cook at my house (I dread this more than mopping) and I could mop your floor??? :D
April - Sounds like a great idea to me! I actually like to cook.
Mopping is my least favourite thing too, that and cleaning the bathrooms. I get after my kids all the time to eat over the table or counter but that doesn't seem to help. Won't it be nice when the kids are big enough to help clean the kitchen floor properly, then maybe they'll fully understand why we get so frustrated when they spill stuff everywhere!
I hate mopping, too. And same thing happens to me-I mopped two days ago and that night the kids spilled three or four times at dinner. Go figure. I also hate bathrooms, and laundry, and vaccuuming...housework in general! I can't wait until my kids are old enough and I can be their slave driver! HAHAHAHA!!!
Yes, you're right. Clean floor=immediate spill. I can't remember the last time I mopped. That is pretty embarrassing. I always clean up the mess with lysol, until I can "get to" the mopping. What a joke! :)
