We had a very quiet Easter and it was very nice. We didn't talk about the Easter Bunny or egg hunts or anything else of the like. If you asked Ila why we had Easter she would tell you that Jesus was Resurrected. It wasn't until after breakfast on Sunday morning that she even thought about the Easter Bunny. Of course he had come we just hadn't talked about it.
I made the girls' dresses from fabric I found for $1 a yard at Wal-Mart. They turned out very cute (hard to tell from the pictures so you will just have to trust me) but since I had been sick all week they didn't get finished until about 12:15 on Sunday. Duder got a new tie, which he was very excited about. They got some new games and stickers. (Very minimal but they loved it nonetheless.)
Monday for FHE we had Easter in an eggshell and dyed our eggs. It was so nice that I think we will always have Easter like this so that we are more focused on the Resurrection and less on the Easter Bunny!

Pete's fam did the Easter bunny stuff on the Saturday before. I think it's partly to remember the real reason for Easter, but also so the kids weren't sugar-high at church. This year I didn't get to it on Saturday, but I think I'll do it next year. And I'll vouch for the dresses being super cute!
When my kids were little (and even now) Easter was the most sacred day of the year. But, unwilling to pass up any excuse for a celebration, we changed the Easter bunny to the Spring bunny. We started out having it on the day before Easter, but over the years we started waiting until it was warm enough to go outside w/out a coat. It works wonderfully because you can pick up everything you need AFTER Easter at 50-90%off. We do it now w/ whatever grandkids happen to be in the area. Hope it's warm enough to do it when you come next month!

OH! it sounds like you had a nice Easter! The kids sure are cute and I am jealous that Rusty might be spending the summer with you! So jealous! :) Man, he'll be so good with the kids though.
I had an adventure on Sunday morning. The Institute choir did a sunrise fireside OUTSIDE next to the Temple. I still don't think I've recovered from being so cold! It turned out lovely though, depsite the blistering wind!
Your kids are so cute! Ila looks like Nat looked as a kid, with that cute strawberry blonde hair... I haven't seen your baby since she was just a few days old. Super cute.
Hey, Arin, do you still need some kids for your t-ball team? I know you're back from your trip now - do you need me to call some moms in my ward?
